Eddie Mudd
2009 Kentucky Senior Open Champion
It took more than matching the tournament low score to win the 2009 PGA National Resort Kentucky Senior Open at Gibson Bay Golf Course. It also took winning a sudden-death playoff against a former three-time champion. But Louisville's Eddie Mudd did exactly that to take his second Open crown in three years.
Mudd's two day total of 7 under par was matched by Rick Cain who won the title in 1998, 2000 and again in 2002. They started their playoff on Hole #18 and Mudd drained a birdie putt to win. Cain's performance all but clinched his KSGA Player of the Year title for 2009.
