Kentucky's Inactive Posting Season Now in Effect
As of December 1, the Kentucky Golf Association and its courses are now in its inactive season as it relates to posting scores. Any scores posted between now and February 28 at a Kentucky facility will NOT factor into the player's handicap index. The active season will resume on March 1.
If you are traveling outside of Kentucky this winter and play golf in a state that is in an active season, that score WILL factor into your handicap index's calculation. The following states fall into that category, all of which have year-round active seasons:
- Alabama
- Arizona
- Arkansas
- California
- Florida
- Georgia
- Hawaii
- Louisiana
- Mississippi
- New Mexico
- Nevada (Southern Nevada Golf Association only)
- North Carolina
- Oklahoma
- South Carolina
- Tennessee
- Texas
- Utah (southern section only)
- Virginia
