The Kentucky Amateur has been contested since 1911 and has crowned some of the state’s finest golfers. Some have gone on to legendary careers such as Gay Brewer, Jr., J.B. Holmes, Steve Flesch, Jodie Mudd, Frank Beard, and John Owens. The field of 156 players come by way of qualifying rounds or exempt status. There are 10 qualifying sites located across the Commonwealth and are conducted as 18 hole stroke play competitions.
Qualifying site selections are handled within the registration area.
