In an effort to keep putting green surfaces in the best condition possible, it is crucial that you always fix your ball marks and try to fix at least one extra. Un-repaired ball marks can make the putting surface look bad, but they also affect the golf ball’s roll when putting. An un-repaired or improperly repaired ball mark can take weeks to heal. A properly repaired ball mark can heal in 1-3 days. You won’t always be able to see your ball mark so it is important to repair others that were missed. Below are simple instructions on the proper way to repair your ball mark. Never lift up on the roots but push back towards the center of the ball mark.
