Massie Leads Team to Victory in Pro-Lady supported by Corkcicle and Mobile Pro Shop
Massie cashes in with multiple victories in Danville.
DANVILLE, KY (June 6, 2022) – Jesse Massie, PGA had a day in the Pro-Lady supported by Corkcicle and Mobile Pro Shop. The Director of Instruction from Woodhaven Country Club led his pro-am group to victory while also taking the low professional title during the competition at Danville Country Club.
Alongside Dawn Larsen, Krysteen Cisseil and Natalie Brown, the quartet posted a score of 128 (-16) in the team format that took the two best net scores from the group on each hole. The foursome took an under-par score on twelve holes including an impressive combined score of -3 on the par-four 6th. That contributed to them winning by five shots while the champions of this event in 2020, Steve Cox, PGA, Christen Cox, Pat Klinglesmith, and Lisa Day finished in second place.
Massie’s individual round was a score of 69 (-3) which featured two separate stretches of him making three consecutive birdies. One of which was on holes 6-8 and was followed by a par on the ensuing par-three 9th, giving him a run of 3-3-3-3 to close the outward nine. He won by a stroke with Tom Walters, PGA finishing runner-up while Grover Justice, PGA was in third, two shots back of Massie.
The low round from any competitor today came from Cox who posted 68 (-4) which won him the low senior professional crown. A terrific front nine score of 32 (-4) helped him finish atop that leaderboard by two strokes over Greg Basham, PGA.
