2020 Kentucky Junior Golf Auction Raises $13,332
A successful 2020 Kentucky Junior Golf Auction has brought in $13,332 in funds for the Kentucky Golf Foundation. Thanks to the generous bidding of folks across Kentucky and in other states, all proceeds will directly benefit youth golfers in the state for years to come.
The funding will serve Youth on Course in Kentucky in a variety of ways. This money will help ensure members of the program can continue to play golf for $5 or less at participating golf courses in all parts of the state. Additionally, the caddie program will be able to continually reward caddies with $50 in return for each loop they complete, plus a $500 scholarship in their name after they make ten loops.
In total, the 2020 Kentucky Junior Golf Auction surpassed the 2019 Auction’s proceeds by more than $4,600. Coupled with the recent Youth on Course Pro-Am presented by ISCO at Valhalla Golf Club which raised a record amount of money, the generous contributions from all participants this month will make demonstrative impacts on Kentucky’s youth.
“We are most excited to see the success of our online auction,” Jeff Adkerson, PGA Executive Director at Golf House Kentucky said. “This success would not be possible without the many donors of auction items and auction winners. Because of your generosity, and the tremendous growth of Youth on Course participants, many junior golfers will be able to have access to golf at affordable rates at participating facilities.”
