Announcing PGA HOPE Program for Veterans in Kentucky
The Kentucky PGA, in partnership with PGA REACH, is proud to announce the introduction of PGA HOPE in Kentucky. PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is a seven week adaptive golf program offered to Veterans free of charge by PGA Professionals. The program is designed to introduce Veterans to the game of golf in an effort to enhance their overall quality of life. The program is open to all Veterans, but is geared specifically towards those suffering with disabilities to assist them with the assimilation back into their local community.
The program will run for a total of seven weeks beginning Wednesday, July 11th at Quail Chase Golf Course. All sessions will run from 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. and are free of charge for all veterans. Led by Kentucky PGA Professionals certified in golf instruction for Veterans with disabilities, Veterans will learn the rules and basics of playing the game; and for those Veterans already familiar with golf, the PGA Professionals will help them refine their skills.
"We are truly excited to launch the PGA HOPE program here in Kentucky," said Brent Paladino, Executive Director. "The game of golf is so powerful and being able to share it with our Veterans will be a special experience for everyone involved. Golf can be a wonderful rehabilitation tool, and our veterans can be assured we are ready to stand beside them."
