Announcing the KGA Women's Stroke Play Championship
The Kentucky Golf Association is transforming its first Women’s Amateur Series event of 2020 into a premier amateur championship for the state’s female golfers. Following the cancelation of many top female golf tournaments because of the novel coronavirus pandemic, this tournament is engineered to make up for some of those lost opportunities.
The KGA will now host the Women’s Stroke Play Championship at Griffin Gate Golf Club in Lexington on August 5-6. The tournament will be a 36-hole stroke play competition in gross and net formats. The low scorers in each format will be presented with awards. There will also be a senior division for players competing who are 50 years of age or older.
The field will be limited to 60 players and the entry fee is $100. Players must have a valid KGA handicap index to join. Click here to view more information and to register for the tournament.
