Destiny McLeod is the 2023-2024 Kentucky PGA WORKS Fellow

Pennsylvanian Destiny McLeod is Kentucky’s 2023-2024 PGA WORKS Fellow

LOUISVILLE, KY (December 15, 2023) – Golf House Kentucky has hired Destiny McLeod as the organization’s PGA WORKS Fellow for 2023-2024. McLeod, a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, began her tenure late November. She will primarily concentrate on initiatives of the Kentucky Golf Foundation, with a focus on PGA HOPE, PGA Jr. League and Youth on Course.

McLeod graduated from Penn State University in 2022 with a degree in Telecommunications and Media Industries, where she was part of many campus groups, such as Minorities in Sports, Penn State Sports Business Conference, T.H.O.N and SMEAL College of Business Diversity Enhancement Program. The move marks her first time in Kentucky after spending her first year of post-grad in Atlanta, Georgia. With her first memories of golf being through participating in the First Tee program at age 11, McLeod looks to grow and learn the business of golf to add to her journey in the sports industry. She hopes to one day be a VP of Content and Media Production.

“I am a sponge who is excited to soak up all the knowledge I can in all aspects of golf, keeping with me how wildly capable I am with everything I put my mind to,” McLeod states.

The PGA WORKS Fellowship is a program that offers access to individuals from diverse backgrounds – whether by gender, age, or race – into the golf industry to gain experience in all facets of the golf industry.

“We are excited to have Destiny on our team as our 2023-2024 Kentucky PGA WORKS Fellow,” said Sally Morgan, PGA, Executive Director at Golf House Kentucky. “This is an excellent program that expands talent within the golf industry. We look forward to seeing Destiny’s growth and success within the Kentucky Golf Foundation, her primary focus, in addition to all areas of the Golf House Kentucky operation.”

Golf House Kentucky and its respective organizations are excited to have Destiny on the team and eagerly await the impact she will make during her Fellowship. McLeod’s contact info has been finalized and can be found on the organization’s staff directory.
