Eight Winners Crowned at the Northern Kentucky Junior Championship

INDEPENDENCE, KY- The Northern Kentucky Junior Championship concluded on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at the Willows Golf Course at Kenton County Golf Courses. Eight different age divisions competed on the course, sending many happy winners home before the rain came in. 

Miles Green delivered a wonderful performance, finishing the tournament at +4 despite tough course conditions, making him our Boys 16-18 champion. For the Girls 16-18 division, Morgan Kennedy delivered a show stopping performance on day two, shooting a 74 (+2), the best round of the day. 

Clay Wachter and Alex Hasselback fought hard for the Boys 13-15 title, but after three playoff holes, Wachter was ultimately crowned the champion. Wachter and Hasselback shot 77 on both days of the tournament, leading to the fierce playoff ending. 

Mary Clayton Rodgers was crowned the Girls 13-15 champion with a total gross score of 171. Her final score was fifteen strokes ahead of the second-place finisher. 

Matthew White took home the Boys 11-12 title after finishing with a total score of 74. Parker Haddix once again walked away from the Girls 10-12 division, shooting a stunning 80 (+8).

In the Boys 10 & Under division, Mason Day had a great two days, finishing with a score of 86.  Maximus Shadler won the Boys 8 & Under division, with a marvelous score of 85.
