Erin Rowland Hired as Golf House Kentucky's Coordinator, Player Development
LOUISVILLE, KY (August 19, 2021) – Erin Rowland, a two-time alumna of the Golf House Kentucky intern program, has been hired to become the organization’s Coordinator, Player Development.
Rowland interned with Golf House Kentucky during the summers of 2021 and 2019 where she amassed significant experience with golfers of the Kentucky Golf Association, Kentucky PGA Section and the Kentucky PGA Junior Tour. During these two internships, she became well-versed with tournament operations and customer service which she will soon utilize on a full-time basis with the organization.
Born in Las Vegas, raised in Louisville and a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, Rowland is currently attending Western Kentucky University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management. Having just began her senior year, she will work in a seasonal capacity with Golf House Kentucky until her graduation in May, at which point she will become a full-time employee.
This fall and next spring, Rowland will assist with high school golf administration and work select Kentucky PGA Junior Tour and high school tournaments. When joining the organization full-time next summer, she will oversee Drive, Chip & Putt, PGA Jr. League and PGA HOPE in addition to collaborating with Kentucky PGA Junior Tour and high school golf activities.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be working full-time at Golf House Kentucky,” Rowland said. “I believe the two summers working as an intern have helped prepare me for the job that lies ahead. I think by having that experience, it has given me a good base on what I will be working on in the future after graduation. I am looking forward to working with the programs of Kentucky Junior Golf and hope to further develop the PGA HOPE program. I am very appreciative of this opportunity and cannot wait to get started!”
“Erin has performed wonderfully in her two seasons as one of our USGA Boatwright interns,” Jeff Adkerson, PGA CEO/Executive Director of Golf House Kentucky stated. “Erin has a stellar playing background and passion for the game of golf that will serve her well in this position. We are excited she has agreed to join us in a part-time manner while she finishes her college degree and look forward to do the wonderful things she will do for Kentucky Junior Golf and our Player Development programs once she comes on board full-time in May.”
Golf House Kentucky and its respective organizations look forward to welcoming Erin to the team on a full-time basis and eagerly awaits the impact she will make as Coordinator, Player Development.
