Golf House Kentucky Expanding Reach With Strategic Reorganization And New CEO Role

I would like to share some exciting news regarding the reorganization of Golf House Kentucky.  For years, Golf House Kentucky has had an Executive Director model that has been charged with the day to day management of the Kentucky Golf Association, Kentucky PGA, and the Kentucky Golf Foundation.  While this model was successful for some time, the growth of all organizations under the Kentucky Golf umbrella, specifically the Kentucky Golf Foundation, has caused this role to be spread very thin while encompassing a wide range of priorities and duties.  Strategy and development for the organization has turned into survival and hanging on as each year became busier than the previous.

The KGA-KPGA Board of Directors, which is the managing Board of Directors of Golf House Kentucky, have spent the past two months working to create a strategic model that would ensure more direct focus on each organization as well as more commitment to the continued development and growth of the Foundation, which we feel has a tremendous upside for growth.

We are thrilled to announce that we will be hiring a new role at Golf House Kentucky, which is the role of CEO.  The CEO will lead our day-to-day operations at Golf House Kentucky and will have a focus of enhancing our initiatives and expanding our outreach, ensuring that we capitalize on the significant opportunities that lie ahead for our foundation.

A major benefit of this new hire of CEO will be the new dedicated roles for the Kentucky Golf Association and the Kentucky PGA.  I am pleased to announce that Connie Saner will assume the role of Executive Director of the Kentucky Golf Association.  Connie has been with Golf House Kentucky for over seven years and is very excited and prepared to take on this new role and commitment to the KGA.

I am also pleased to announce that Sally Morgan, PGA, will be stepping into the role of Executive Director of the Kentucky PGA Section. In this capacity, Sally will oversee all day-to-day operations of the Kentucky PGA with a continued focus of serving the KPGA Membership.  We are confident that both Sally and Connie will bring valuable leadership and insight to their respective positions.  We believe that these strategic moves will strengthen our operations and allow us to better serve our community and support the growth of golf in Kentucky.

It is very important for me to reiterate that Golf House Kentucky is still one unit and one team with an all-encompassing goal of growing and supporting all things golf across the Commonwealth.  The KGA and KPGA partnership is as strong as it has ever been and these adjustments will allow each organization to get the dedicated service and attention they all deserve.  The opportunistic growth potential of the Foundation is an exciting endeavor to embark on and we look forward to having that dedicated attention.  Growth in our Foundation means growth in all of golf while also impacting many lives in a positive way.

We are very excited about the future of Golf in the Commonwealth and appreciate your continued support of the KGA, KPGA, and the Kentucky Golf Foundation.  Please join us in congratulating Connie and Sally on their new opportunities!
