Record Amount of Funds Raised at ISCO Industries Youth on Course Kentucky Pro-Am

LOUISVILLE, KY (August 2, 2021) - The 2021 edition of the ISCO Industries Youth on Course Kentucky Pro-Am presented by Kindred Healthcare brought golfers from Kentucky and outside of the Commonwealth together at Valhalla Golf Club to celebrate a shared enjoyment of the game and most importantly, grow the game for generations to come.

A record amount of funds were raised for one of the KGF’s key initiatives, Youth on Course, during Monday’s play. The program has taken off in Kentucky as it allows junior golfers to play rounds of golf for $5 or less once they become a Youth on Course member. In addition, the Caddie Program allows youth to loop at select facilities in Kentucky where they earn $50 for each loop they complete, plus $500 in scholarship funds for every ten rounds they loop.

Thanks to the participation of today’s players, those opportunities will continue to be possible for young people now and in decades to follow. They were eager for competition though with team and low professional tournaments contested during the day.

The team competition was contested in the format of teams taking their best gross score and best net score each hole. J.B. Williams, coming in fresh off his third consecutive Kentucky Open victory last week, led his team to victory with an impressive group score of 126 (-18). Williams, Jamie Sneed, Brady Stewart, and Jon Dotterer were the members of the top team from the day and enjoyed a four-stroke margin of victory for their efforts.

PGA TOUR player Josh Teater, who sports the logos of both ISCO Industries and Youth on Course on his apparel, took low professional honors with a round of 67 (-5). Teater began the day with four consecutive birdies in what amounted to a one-stroke margin of victory over Williams, Marcus Byrd and Lukas Euler. After his round, Teater departed Valhalla to begin a trip to California, as he will be competing in the PGA TOUR’s Barracuda Championship later this week.
