Juniors Shine at Standard
It wasn't as sunny or hot as it has been these past few weeks in Kentucky, but the future was shining brightly at the Kentucky PGA Pro-Junior on June 27 at Standard Country Club. Teams of Kentucky PGA Professionals and extremely talented junior golfers joined up in this fun event to compete in the 16-18 Age Division and the 13-15 Age Division and the best two gross balls of the four-person team made up the team scores. In the 16-18 Division, the team from Heritage Hill Golf Course with Michael McDade at the helm took home top honors. Cody French, Ethan Breeden and Michael Brown combined with McDade for a ten-under-par 134 total for a one-shot victory over Team Crescent Hill: Barry Bonifield, Dominic Ramsey, Timothy Imhoff and Even Gaeta. In the 13-15 Division, the team from Greenbrier Golf and Country Club with Jeremy Martin at the helm took home top honors. Andrew Marrs, Kylie Lysack and Caden Pope combined with McDade to also fire a ten-under-par 134 total. They posted a five-shot victory over Team Persimmon Ridge Golf Club of Colby Wollitz, Grant Meyer, Lauren Decker and Drew Gillaspie. Congratulations to all who participated on this fantastic day for golf at a terrific facility. A special thank you goes out to our host PGA Professional, Mike Riley and to our KPGA Partner Sun Mountain and Paul Branlund for making this all possible!
