2019 Kaiser Cup Begins Monday at Belterra

            For the 24th time, Kentucky PGA Members will face off against Kentucky PGA Assistant Professionals in the upcoming Kaiser Cup. This Ryder Cup-style event will take place on April 8-9 at Belterra Golf Club in Florence, Indiana for the sixteenth consecutive year. The Member team seeks to defend its title after winning last year’s competition for the first time since 2009. Prior to the 2018 contest, it had been an eight-year win streak for the Assistant team, which helped bolster their overall lead in the Kaiser Cup by a margin of 14-9.

            Grover Justice, PGA Director of Instruction at High Performance Golf Academy in Nicholasville will captain the Member team, while Daniel Iceman, PGA Associate at Weissinger Hills Golf Course in Shelbyville will serve as captain for the Assistants team. Play will begin on Monday, April 8 with four-ball and foursome matches. Play on Tuesday, April 9 will be composed of singles matches.

            Qualification for the Kaiser Cup was based off the 2018 Omega KPGA Player of the Year standings and the Omega KPGA Assistant Player of the Year Standings. The following players will be the participants in this year’s competition:
