Bruce Oldendick Makes it Three Straight Kentucky Senior PGA Professional Championships
LOUISVILLE, KY (August 11, 2020) – Bruce Oldendick, PGA Head Professional at Pendleton Hills Golf Course is the winner of the Kentucky Senior PGA Professional Championship at Dale Hollow State Resort Park once again. For the third consecutive year, Oldendick has won the KPGA Membership’s top senior trophy after also winning at Dale Hollow in 2019 and at Frankfort Country Club in 2018.
Oldendick tallied a round of 71 (-1) on Tuesday after firing 66 (-6) in Monday’s opening round. It gives him a grand total of 137 (-7), allowing him to coast to a six-stroke victory over Richard Schmitt, PGA General Manager at Woodhaven Country Club. Oldendick, Schmitt and third-place finisher Kirk Schooley, PGA Head Professional at Juniper Hill Golf Course will now advance to the Senior PGA Professional Championship which brings the top Senior Members from across the country together to compete. The event is scheduled to take place October 15-18, 2020 at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

The Kentucky PGA Section thanks each player for competing in the tournament along with the staff at Dale Hollow State Resort Park for hosting the competition. Participants from this week’s event can now look ahead to the 21st Kentucky Senior Open in which will take place at Frankfort Country Club three weeks from now on August 31-September 1.
