Tom Walters and Dan Utley Win Pro-Pro Challenge; Walters Also Wins Low Pro

LEXINGTON, KY (September 21, 2020) – It’s a clean sweep for Tom Walters in his first visit to University Club of Kentucky. He and Dan Utley captured the Pro-Pro Challenge title on Monday while Walters also won low individual honors for good measure.

The tandem shot 63 (-9) in the four-ball format which earned them a one-stroke victory over Keith Ohr and John Bachman. Each of the two teams separated themselves as the top pairs of the day, as Ohr and Bachman had three strokes in between them and the teams who finished in a tie for third place, being Adam Ronniger and Joey Sachs plus Nick Johnston and Michael Vanderveer.

Walters made double bogey on the par-three 3rd, but he proceeded to make seven birdies in the next fifteen holes to atone for the early mistake. His eventual round of 67 (-5) provided Walters with a two-stroke victory over Aaron McDowell, Keith Ohr and Nick Johnston.
