KGA Amateur Series #2 CANCELED
Due to last night's major thunderstorm in the Louisville area, today's KGA Am Series tournament at Big Spring Country Club - Harmony Landing Course has been canceled. More than five inches of rain hit the facility overnight and play is not feasible due to the amount of moisture on the course coupled with minor damage to some trees along the property.
The Kentucky Golf Association will attempt to reschedule the tournament to another date later this year. Players may remain in the tournament until a postponed date is confirmed. Taking this option will result in the player not getting an immediate refund. Players may also get a full refund at this time, but will be removed from the event's field list by doing so and have to register again later this year if a rescheduled date is confirmed.
The KGA apologizes for the inconvenience and hopes to see everyone in two weeks for the next scheduled competition, the KGA Match Play Championships at Nevel Meade Golf Club on July 14-16.
